Albert Apicella, DDS, MS

My father instilled the importance of a strong education in me at a young age, and I was always impressed with my mother’s artistic abilities. Around the age of twelve, my mother and younger sister underwent orthodontic treatment.  I had the opportunity to observe, first hand, the positive impact that it had on both of their lives and the pleasant environment in which their care was delivered. I knew then, in the sixth grade, that orthodontics would be my passion and an opportunity to positively impact peoples’ lives. Realizing that excellence is a goal that faces many challenges, I recieved my Masters Degree in Oral Biology from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and taught as a professor in the post graduate orthodontic program there. In addition, I currently participate in product design and development with one of the world’s top orthodontic companies. Our practice has been serving south central Pennsylvania for over 45 years, and we have been providing custom “Damon” smiles for over 15 years. I am proud to share my passion with others in order to enhance and serve the community.

Dr. Apicella received his Degree in Dentistry and Specialty Certifcation in Orthodontics from the University of Maryland’s Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, in 1988 and 1991 respectively. He holds a Masters Degree in Oral Biology from the University of Maryland as well. Dr. Apicella is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists and the Pennsylvania Dental Association.

Dr. Apicella , and his wife, Sue, along with their sons, Dominic and Adam, reside in Mechanicsburg.

Brian Lorei, DMD, MS

My dreams led me to dental school where I was introduced to my passion for orthodontics. Having always enjoyed entertaining people and excelling in academia, I found orthodontics to be the perfect blend of science, engineering, artistry and human interaction. I understand the opportunity to balance the science and clinical skills associated with delivering the highest quality of orthodontic care while connecting with people on a personal level. Having a positive impact on patients’ lives is extremely special in today’s busy society. I believe orthodontic treatment is something I do with a patient not to a patient, and I am committed to making every patient experience at Apicella-Lorei Orthodontics fun, informative and efficient. Orthodontics challenges me on a daily basis to grow as a provider and as a person, and I gladly welcome these challenges, while striving each day to exceed the expectations of my patients, family and friends.

Dr. Lorei received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 2001, graduating with the distinction of Valedictorian, from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2004, he received his Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Science Degree in Oral Biology from the University of Maryland. During his commitment to the United States Air Force, he served as the Chief of Orthodontic Services at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, Japan. Today he is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. He currently acts as the Vice President of the Harrisburg Area Dental Society, where he also serves as the Chair of the Community Service and National Childrens Dental Health Month Committees.

Dr. Lorei, his wife Dr. Sarah Lorei, a general dentist in the Harrisburg area, along with their children Leila, Cameron, and Ava currently reside in Enola.

“Our two boys have had a great experience at Appicella Lorei. The office has a great atomosphere and the staff hold to the schedule very closely. The incentives they give the patients are a great idea.”--AC
